Protect the Border How to Process Suspects

The official description names the fork: take the bribe or take the suspect in. It also names the tools: cuffs, cells, and one-way tickets. This guide is the how-to-complete page for a stop that has already failed an ID or a trunk. If you have not searched yet, return to how to search trunks. Decide with facts, not mood

A stop is ready to process when at least one of these is true:

• The face does not match the ID
• The trunk holds illegal goods
• The driver offers a bribe after you have evidence
• The driver attacks the booth

If none of those are true, wave. Cuffing legal traffic burns time you need for night survival.

Option A — the envelope

A bribe is a mechanic. It is not a moral essay and it is not free money. Taking it usually means the driver leaves and you skip the cell animation. That can be correct when:

• The queue is about to collide with sunset
• You already have enough evidence logged for the shift
• Your party agreed in advance that small cargo can be bought off

It is the wrong choice when the car is clearly a raid scout, when teammates are watching, or when you have not opened the trunk. An envelope that buys your ignorance is how illegal goods train you. If you take the money, say so in chat so the trunk officer does not cuff a driver you already sold a pass to.

Option B — cuffs and the cell

Cuffs are the lawful completion. Use them when the face is wrong or the goods are clearly illegal. Walk the suspect to the cell the BETA gives you. Do not shoot a cuffed driver unless they break the animation. Magazines belong to the night.

One-way tickets, as the storefront calls them, are the harder send-off. Use that option when the game offers it and the driver is more than a petty crate. The exact label may shift during BETA. The idea stays: some people leave the map instead of sitting in the box.

Party discipline

Four officers can accidentally process the same person four ways. Assign one processor per car. Everyone else holds position. If two people cuff and a third takes a bribe, the server has to guess, and you look like a mess when the raid starts.

Useful calls:

• “Bribe” — money taken, driver released
• “Cuffs” — walking to the cell
• “Ticket” — one-way send-off
• “Hostile” — weapons out, processing is over

Log those calls the same way you log ID results. The inspection checklist has a line for the outcome so you can review a wipe later.

Combat during a stop

Some drivers will not wait for the cell. If they draw, the stop becomes a night preview. Back up, use cover, and do not dump a belt into one civilian if a raid timer is already blinking. Loadouts explains why a booth rifle and an overwatch rifle are different jobs. A SPAS 12 at the bumper is fine. An SVD at the bumper is a waste of the person who should be on the ridge.

Money math

Arrests and completed stops feed cash and gold. Bribes feed cash now and maybe problems later. VIP and 2X Cash multiply whatever you chose; they do not tell you which choice was smart. If you are farming a locker class, lawful completions are the more repeatable habit because they do not depend on the driver offering an envelope.

After the cell door

Reset. Camera back to the lane. Ammo counted. Do not stand in the cell celebrating. The next plate is already the job, and sunset does not care that you were witty in voice chat.
