Play with Friends in Protect the Border
Four officers, one booth. Party before the first car, not after the first wipe.
Protect the Border is built as an online co-op experience for up to four border officers. The storefront says it twice: party, then hold the line. This page is the how-to for that party. It does not replace Getting Started and it does not invent a fifth seat.
Solo play is allowed. Solo nights are harder because nobody watches the road while you cuff. If you can bring even one friend, bring them before you start a long Endless Mode run.
Form the party first
Roblox party tools sit outside the booth. Use them before you press Play.
- Invite from the Roblox friends list or a private server link if the group later offers one.
- Confirm everyone can hear four short calls: face, trunk, cuff, road.
- Agree who is the processor. Two people tapping the same car is how a bribe and a cuff fire together — see suspect processing.
- Open the locker on spawn together. Name HP and the default rifle out loud. A friend who does not know their kit cannot take a night lane.
A late join in Endless wastes a slot that could have covered the approach. If someone is “two minutes away,” wait. Two minutes of empty road is cheaper than a wipe at sunset.
Four roles that actually fit
The BETA does not print role cards. You assign them.
- Processor — IDs and faces. Stays at the window. Reads how to check IDs until the habit is boring.
- Searcher — trunks only. Same order every car. Uses the inspection checklist if the queue is loud.
- Road — watches the approach after mid-afternoon. Needs a rifle that can reach. Ghillie or an SVD extra if nobody bought the class.
- Lane — stands the night hold. Juggernaut if someone will spend; otherwise the heaviest earnable kit plus a belt gun from the weapons tier list.
Three officers? Drop a dedicated searcher and let the processor open trunks after the face is clean. Two officers? Processor plus road. One officer? You are both, and you leave the bumper only when the queue is empty.
Voice, text, and mobile friends
Keyboard players can type. Mobile players should not. Agree on four words from the trunk guide: opening, legal, illegal, hostile. Long paragraphs in chat are how a second car arrives unseen. If one friend is on a tablet, give them processor or searcher, not flick-shot overwatch. Controls lists why touch lies at night.
Do not use a random Discord invite to “coordinate.” Join voice only from the official group trail. A fake officer Discord is a code scam with a headset.
What not to share
- Roblox passwords, backup codes, or “host accounts”
- Script loaders advertised for other border games — see Scripts Hub
- A plan to stack VIP and 2X Cash as 4x until your HUD proves it on gamepass value
Sharing a booth is not sharing an account. If a friend wants Juggernaut, they buy Juggernaut. The pass is the only door into that class.
A clean four-person first hour
- Party, then spawn.
- Locker check, then one silent practice car.
- Processor calls faces. Searcher never skips a trunk.
- Mid-afternoon, reload and assign road.
- Sunset, nobody is in the shop. Read survive the night if this is your first raid together.
If you wipe, ask who watched the approach before you ask who should have bought Infinite Ammo. Most early party wipes are two people in the same doorway and zero people on the road.
When you can name your three teammates’ jobs without opening chat, you are done with this page. Go back to the booth, or open how to choose a class if the locker is still an argument.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers officers ask after every shift.
How many friends can join one shift?
Up to four officers total, including you. The experience is online co-op, not a 25-person raid club.
Can I play Protect the Border solo?
Yes. Nights are harder because nobody watches the road while you process a car.
Should we wait for a late friend in Endless?
Yes. A late join wastes a seat that could have covered the approach.
Do we need Discord to party?
No. Use Roblox party tools. If you want voice, join only from the official group trail.
Who should buy Juggernaut in a squad of four?
The player who will stand the lane, not the player who likes the store art. The class is pass-only.
