Getting Started in Protect the Border

Protect the Border is a live Roblox BETA from The Evil Mafia. You are a border officer, not a tourist. The storefront promise is simple: check the ID, match the face, search the trunk, then decide whether the driver walks, pays, or sits in a cell. After dark the same map asks you to hold the line against whatever they send.

This page is the first hour. It does not replace how to check IDs or how to search trunks. It tells you which habits to install before those pages matter.

What you are actually playing

• Platform: Roblox on PC, mobile, tablet, and console
• Mode: Online co-op, up to four officers
• Loop: Day inspections, then a night raid
• Currencies: Cash and gold
• Progress: Locker classes plus extra weapons that sit on top of a loadout

If you arrived from San Diego Border Roleplay or Secure the Border, reset your expectations. There is no civilian smuggling career here. There is a booth, a locker, and a night that gets worse the longer you stay. Endless Mode, documented on its own walkthrough, stretches that loop instead of adding a second map.

First actions after spawn

1. Open the locker before you touch a car. Note your HP and the default rifle. You cannot plan a night if you do not know the kit.
2. Bind or locate cuff, search, and fire on your device. The controls page lists the differences.
3. If friends are coming, party first. A late join in Endless wastes a slot that could have covered the road.
4. Do not buy a gamepass on spawn. Read gamepass value after one full day-and-night cycle.

The inspection habit

Say the official line out loud until it is boring: ID, face, trunk, next. Officers who invert that order miss forgeries because they are already arguing about a crate. The inspection checklist is the same habit on paper.

When the face does not match, stop being friendly. Move to suspect processing. A bribe is a mechanic, not a personality test. Taking every envelope trains you to skip the trunk, and skipped trunks are how illegal goods walk through a four-person crew.

Money without panic

Cash and gold come from finished work: clean inspections, lawful arrests, and nights you survive. How to earn cash breaks the loop down. For the first hour, spend on ammo and a class you can actually aim. Do not chase Juggernaut with a starter bank. That class is pass-only and belongs on the premium classes page.

VIP and 2X Cash both advertise double cash and gold. They are permanent multipliers, not beginner requirements. A coordinated party of four free officers will out-earn a solo VIP who fails every face check.

Prepare for sunset before sunset

The description is not flavor: something comes after dark. Mid-afternoon, stop shopping. Fill magazines. Assign one officer to the road if you have three or four people. The night survival guide is the next required read after you finish two clean day shifts.

If you wipe, do not immediately buy Infinite Ammo. First ask whether anyone watched the approach. Most early wipes are positioning, not missing a Ray Gun.

What to ignore in week one

• Fake codes — none are verified

• Random Discord invites — use Discord status
• Every weapon pass in the store — rank them on the weapons tier list after you know your role

A clean first-hour scorecard

You are ready to leave this page when you can:

• Finish an ID-face-trunk loop without asking chat what to click
• Explain why a bribe is optional
• Name your class HP and sidearm
• Point to where you will stand when the lights go out

Then open how to check IDs and run the next queue slower than you want to. Speed comes after accuracy, not before it. The BETA will add more kits. The booth order will not.
